Good to hear your take on social networking. I have done a couple of things, and I try to work from the most local view first, as you speak of.
I use 3-4 hours a week on Business Network International, and am now also going for a better online appearence.. Givers gain works perfectly, and what joy it is too.

there is an importance there is also an importance in being able to analyse the nature and quality of that information. For example in working wioth someone with a learning disability it is important to ensure their preferences are heard. Carers with years of experience may well be best placed to do this however they may also restrict the expression of the individuals desires. The social worker needs to be able to interact in such situations ensuring that an individual is both safe but also does not have their opportunities restricted.

thats true social networking always changes, i had some experience some time ago when my partners talked about facebook as if it were tv, i said, facebook is just not worth the money, now my nephews business is growing faster than mine thanks to facebook.

Just an FYI - I let the ClickOnce installer do its thing and auto-magically upgrade my previous version of Witty for me, but then it would crash on startup. Not sure what the error was as it was just reported as an "Unexpected Error"… as if there's another kind. :)I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling fresh and now I'm rockin' and rollin'!

I use Twitter daily and it is a great tool to network with other bloggers.I don’t think i’ve seen many re-tweets on Twitter from a blog though. I wonder how it looks. Maybe i’ve just not noticed. This brings up a good question.How does a re-tweet from a reader/visitor on Twitter look like?Hmmmn. Will have to find out….
